Doug Goffus, 1949-2021

Doug Goffus, longtime Tube City Community Media Inc. board member, former board chair and host of "Goffus Golden Oldies" passed away Dec. 9 following a brief illness.

Doug was one of our earliest board members at Tube City Community Media Inc. and was instrumental in launching our Internet radio station, now known as Tube City Online Radio. He was a dedicated volunteer and was willing to devote many hours of unpaid work to Tube City Community Media.

Doug also was an excellent sounding board for ideas and everyone at Tube City Online came to appreciate his no-B.S. responses.

Doug had a long career in the federal government, both as an active member of the armed services and as an employee of several different departments, and also lent his talents to radio stations in Virginia and WRCT-FM in Pittsburgh.

We were very flattered that he volunteered his time with us and we will miss him.
